Jane graduated in Home Economics and was a Dietician in hospitals in Lafayette, Indiana; Mercer, Pennsylvania; and in Louisville, Kentucky before her marriage, 1. Van graduated from Howe Military School in 1949 and received his BSCE degree from Purdue University in 1953. He also received a commission as Second lieutenant in the Corps of Engineers, U S Army. He is now a Major on his second tour of duty in Viet Mam. He has served in Guam, Prance, Republic of Mali and in the Canal Zone.
