Jacob Bonewits, (1816-1878)
m. 2nd Nancy Caroline Myers, Dec. 5, 1851  (8/25/1827-1/17/1859) 
Nancy was a sister of Lucinda, Jacob's fourth wife.

   There were four children

   m. Sadie Alexander, 
   There were five children. Virgilia Smith was a grand daughter. 
3. Nancy Bonewits, (11/27/1855-5/17/1876) Died in Knox County.

   m. 3rd Nancy Cooper, May 1, 1864 (1818-3/9/1872) 
   1. Melissa Bonewits,  (11/5/1865-
      m. George Hicks,  There were two sons, Oscar and Girth. 
   2. Levi Bonewits,  (12/13/1868-2/2/1951)  funeral was at Shoals, Ind. 
      m. 1st. Mary Ann Like, Sept. 20, 1895. She died in 1926. 
         1. Amy Bonewits, born May 20, 1897. Llves at Monroe, Wisconsin. 
            m. Emil Preisig, March 18, 1920. Born in 1890 in Switzerland. 
               1. Esther Preisig, born 1922, married Burdette Churchill.
               They live at Beloit, have three daughters. 
               2. Evelyn Preisig, born 1924, married Harold Copeland.
               They live at Richland, Washington, have two daughters.
         2. Berlin Bonewits, (3/10/1899-8/10/1910) 
      m. 2nd Ida Butcher, October 15, 1939. She died May 19, 1950.

Jacob Bonewits, (1816-1878) 
   m. 4th Lucinda Myers Adams, July 25,  1872
   Lucinda was said to be a sister of Nancy. There were no children
   to this marriage.  Jacob survived Lucinda.,

Elias, James, and Peter left male lines of descent.

Among contributors were Carrie Bonewitz, Virgilea Smith, Loversa 
Adams and Doyle Bonewits.
