Sarah was born in Indiana and was a daughter of William Gilmore, 
born in Indiana, and his wife Elizabeth, born in North Carolina, 
according to census records. Elias married Sarah December 6, 1866.

   They lived at Bicknell, then at Kansas City, Missouri, where 
   W. E. Bonewits and H. B. Bonewits were officers of the Bonewits-
   Bishop Company, a factory sales agency. 
   1. Pliny Phillip Bonewits, died in infancy 
   2. Estell Everett Bonewits, (6/10/1890-11/12/1935) 
      m. Hazel Busby, They were living in Arkansas when he 
      died. Estell is buried at Liltle Rock.
