Jacob Andrew Bonewitz, (7/8/1853-10/ /1917) m. 2nd Melissa (Mary) Gresso, March 29, 1884 (3/8/1860- / /1928) They married at Laketon, Indiana. Jacob was a farmer and butcher. They lived near North Manchester and Laketon. They are buried at Igamsville. Mary's parents were Ben Gresso and his wife Katherine. Wesley Bonewitz indicates that from Bible records, Mary's parents were born in Clark County, Ohio; that her grandparent Gresso were born in Pa, and her grandparent Sellers were born in Virginia. 1. Joseph Alfred Bonewitz, (4/20/1885-4/30/1969) m. Leona L. Barrett, March 28, 1908 (12/31/1883-12/3/1964) They lived in Gas City, Indiana. Alfred was a factory worker, Leona was a daughter of John Barrett and his wife Martha Burk. 1. Barrett E. Bonewitz, born December 21, 1909. m. lst Anna Louise Stith, Barrett served in W W II as a Sergeant in the 5th Armored div. He lives in Gas City, is a Mason, and has worked for Owens Illinois Glass Company 35 years. 1. Joseph Arnold Bonewitz, born July 8, 1932.
