John Jefferson Bonewitz, (7/6/1844-5/5/1899) Died at Topeka, Kansas. 
m. 1st Cordelia J. Hubler, Sept 30, 1869 (1852-1/28/1879) 
John enrolled at Wooster in Co E of the 120th Regt 0. V. 1. in 
January 1864. He was on the "City Bell" when it was captured at 
Snaggy Point, Louisiana in May 1864. He was held prisoner at Tyler,  
Texas for a year until the war ended. He and Cordelia farmed in 
Adams Township, Allen County, Indiana next to his father. Cordelia 
is buried in the Hubler plot in Antioch Cemetery near Hoagland. 
1. Curtis Ewing Bonewitz, (5/4/1871-   no information after 1946.
   m. Mary E. Shearer,  (7/26/1875-1/17/1963) buried at Carmel, Ind. 
   Curtis was a railroad man. They lived in Kansas City, Missouri, 
   until 1906, then lived at Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Canton, Ohio. 
      1. Claude E. Bonewitz, (4/17/1894-6/12/1945) bur. Muskogee, Okla. 
         m. Margaret Caldwell, in 1918 at Sapulpa. 
         Claude had an oil business at Comanche. Margaret lives at Duncan, Oklahoma. 
            1. Richard C. Bonewitz, born May 2, 1922 in Comanche, Okla. 
               m. 1st Lillian Felder.          They divorced in 1967. 
               Richard was in Real Estate in Wenatchee, Washington. 
                  1. Tona Diane Bonewitz, born February 28, 1946.

                  2. Michele Louise Bonewitz, born May 14, 1951. 
                m. 2nd Erma Ilene, 
                Richard and Erma have a Real Estate business at Tacoma, 
                Washington. Richard served in the Navy in World War II. 
             2. Mary Helen Bonewitz, born October 30, 1927. 
                m. W. W. McIntyre
                They live in Houston, Texas. No children. 
      2. Vera Cornelia Bonewitz, (8/12/1896-3/5/1921) 
      She did not marry. She is buried at Argentine, Kansas. 
      3. Lucille Bonewitz, born August 24, 1905. 
         m. John Petch, November 23, 1929 at Chicago.
         They live at Pompano Beach, Florida, No children. 
2. Nettie V. Bonewitz, (6/4/1878-  died in the 1930s. 
   m.   Stake or Steak          
   There were four daughters. They lived at Greensburg, Ohio.
