Do you rent or own your home?: Currently we rent.
Do you intend to move?: Most definitely! We would like to move to Wisconsin, but; still be near Chicago and work.
Do you intend to change jobs?: Yes, my employer changes all the time.
What work do you do? I am Software Quality Assurance Analyst. This means that I get to try to break new software before the customer gets a chance to find anything wrong with it. I try to identify all anomalies and notify the developers so that they may make corrections before the product go into production.
Do you like it? Why? Yes, I like this type of work. There are several reasons. If I don't like the employer, I can choose not to re-new my contract. It keeps me on my toes and I like that. I get bored easily and require a challenge. This type of work provides all the stimulation and challenge I need.
How long?: I have been doing QA for 6 years. Before that I was a programmer for 6 years. Before computers I did many different things. I owned a contract janitorial business, drove courier, limousine, and trucks, worked in lithography shops doing just about everything, spent 10 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant and EMT giving personal cares in hospitals, nursing homes, and private homes, and other interesting things. Told you I get bored easily
What do you do for recreation? Hobbies?: I spend many hours creating web pages just like this web site you are currently at. When not working on a computer I like to play around with beads and one day would like to to do some silversmithing or woodworking.
What do you like to do?: I do not read much so I like listening to talking books. We have probably read all of the Harry Potter books to date about 5 times and listened to them at least a dozen times. When the weather is nice I like to ride my bicycle. It is good exercise and gets me outdoors.
Do you have a pet(s)?: We are very well kept by our cat, Pookie. Actually, he's not too bad as a master, although he did make us get shots :{  We are looking for a kitten for him, because he is lonely. His 2 older sisters went to kitty heaven last year and he still looks Aaron home for them.
What is your favorite place to visit? Why?: Maiden Hair Falls in St Paul, Minnesota on the Mississippi River. You are in the city but; is seems a million miles away. The grasses and flowers cascade over the falls with the water. It is most lovely in the spring and early summer.
What do you remember about growing up?: Don't get me started. There isn't enough room in this whole book :} But; for starters, I remember, my father had a 1949 Hudson and a 1952 Packard. Simone and I both rode in a sled with a handle on the back line a stroller. I remember as a 3 or 4 year old patting the top of the stove that I could barely reach and burning my hand. I remember the apple tree in the back yard that we used to climb and the swing in it. I remember my Mom finding Indian head pennies in the garden and all the flowers she used to grow. I remember being an alter boy at church. I remember sister Mary Victor the disciplinarian at the the catholic school. I remember one year I stayed "down home" with Mom & Pop and went to school in Monroe City. I had one of the same teachers that my Dad had. One of these days I should write it all down, before I can't. I remember ...
Happiest/saddest moments? Saddest: August, 1974 when I was told to had to leave my daughter.
Happiest: March 26, 1981 when I met Faun.
Family memories?: I just loved those big family reunions "down home" on "Mom & Pop's" farm outside of Monroe City, Indiana. I remember as teenagers, sitting around the dinning table with my Mom and friends playing Hearts. I remember the little bitty house we lived in, on St Louis Street in Ferndale, Michigan. I remember ...
What is the biggest change in the last 20 years?: Computers of course, their size, and what they can do now as opposed to 20 years ago. Then a computer took up a whole room for space and several people to maintain it, now it can be held in the palm of your hand!.
What are your hopes for the future?: I hope to live to be a crotchy old man. I want to help people heal themselves and heal our home, Earth.

What else would you like your descendants to know about you, besides that you were born and died. What words of wisdom do you have for the future?

I was born when I was very young. My parents loved me and took the best care of me that they could. Sometimes, they took too good of care of me. Protecting me from whatever they felt I needed protecting from. When I became a parent, I swore that I was not going to do to my children what my parents did to me.

Fat chance! In the time I had with my daughter, I did exactly what my parents did for me. I loved her and took the best possible care of her that I could. I highly recommend this strategy to the future.

Remember always, children are the future. Teach them to be loving and kind. Teach them that hate is not a family value. Teach them all those things that seemingly today, most parent want someone else to teach their children (school, church, scouts). Teach them right from wrong. Teach them about situation ethics. Teach them about sex and how important it is to respect others and their rights as well as their own. Teach them to respect Mother Earth, the only home we have.

Oh, yeah! Don't carry all of your money in the same pocket. Put some in each and you'll always feel rich.
